Paul Francis Kelman wurde am 09. Oktober 1967 in Neuguinea geboren. Er wurde dort mit dem grausamen Schicksal der Papuas und in Australien mit dem der Aborigines konfrontiert. Vielleicht ist er deshalb ein so großer Verfechter der Gleichheit der Menschen. Jede Form von Rassismus ist ihm verhasst. Es macht ihn ganz krank, zu sehen, dass man diese mit ganz anderen Augen betrachtet als ihn.

Pauls Karriere startete mit der Serie “A Country Practice” und mit dem Fernsehfilm “Heroes”. Seine erste regelmäßige Rolle war in der Serie “E-Street” die Rolle des Chris Patchett. Darauf folgte die Serie “G.P.”. Dann kam endlich seine Rolle des Steve Macauley in der Serie “The Flying Doctors”. Als Steve war er nach Coopers Crossing gekommen, um seine Mutter Claire Bryant, die Funkerin bei den fliegen- den Ärzten zu suchen. Die hatte ihn zur Adoption freigegeben müssen und seine Adoptiveltern unterstützten ihn bei seiner Suche nach seiner leiblichen Mutter. Er blieb dann in Coopers Crossing hängen und war in vielen Jobs Mädchen für alles, auch als Automechaniker. Außerdem hatte er ein Auge auf Penny Wellings ge- worfen, Kate Standish´s Schwester. Paul blieb der Serie bis zum Ende treu.

In der Serie “All Saints” spielte er einen gewalttätigen Ehemann und in “Home and away” war er als Jason Duncan dabei. Außerdem spielte er den Lox vom Planet Zyrgon in der Serie “Halfway across the Galaxy and turn left” (“Durch die Galaxy und dann links”). Gastrollen  hatte er in “Water Rats”, “Heartbreak High”, “Pacific Drive”. Er war in “The Kelman Report” und für das europäische Fernsehen in “The Morning Show” zu sehen. Im Spielfilm “Terra Nova” spielte er 1998 den Simon und 2000 war er in dem Film “Mullet” als Gary dabei.

Paul liebt fremde Kulturen, er bereiste schon Thailand, Malaysia, Singapur, Europa, die USA und Marokko. Ein großes Hobby ist für ihn Motorrad fahren. Wann immer möglich fährt er mit seiner Harley Davidson allein oder mit Freunden. Seit er in Melbourne wohnt, surft er auch gerne. Ebenfalls liebt er Musik und sein Lieblings- schauspieler ist Mickey Rourke.

2003 war Paul als Gary in “The Honourable Wally Norman” zu sehen. In der Serie “McLeod´s Daughters” hatte er die Rolle des Dale Holloway gespielt. Den Steve spielte er in “Forced Entry” und er war zu sehen in “Adrift”, alles 2005. In “Road Rage” spielt er 2007 einen aufgebrachten Autofahrer. 2008 war Paul in “Jigsaw” als Dad zu sehen

Paul hat inzwischen eine Tochter, Matilda.

2010 hatte Paul eine Gastrolle als Wes Richards in der TV-Serie “Off the rails”. 2014 spielte Paul in einer Episode der Serie “Rake” einen politischen Berater.

Paul Francis Kelman was born in New Guinea on October 9th, 1967. He was     confronted there with the terrible fate of the Papuans and in Australia with that    one of the aborigines. Perhaps he is therefore such a tall advocate of the equality   of the people. Every form is hated for him of racism. It makes him quite ill, to see that one regards these as him with completely different eyes.

Paul's career started with the series "A Country Practice" and with the television film "Heroes". His first regular role was the role of Chris Patchett in the series    "E-Street". On this the series "G.P." followed. His role finally then came as Steve Macauley in the series "Flying Doctors". As Steve he came to Coopers Crossing   to find his mother Claire Bryant the radio operator of "The Flying Doctors". This one must had given him away and his adoptive parents now supported him at his search for his physical mother before  the adoption. He then stayed in Coopers Crossing and was in many jobs maid of all work also as a car mechanic. In addi- tion, he had an eye on Penny Wellings, Kate Standish's sister. Paul remained faithful to the series until end.

In the series "All Saints" he played a violent husband and he was in "Home and away" as Jason Duncan. In addition, he played in the series "Halfway across the Galaxy and turn left" ("Durch die Galaxy und dann links") the Lox of the planet Zyrgon. He had guest roles in "Water Rats", "Heartbreak High" and "Pacific  Drive". He was in "The Kelman Report" and look into "The Morning Show" for  the European Television. In the film "Terra Nova" he showed Simon in 1998 and he was 2000 in the film "Mullet" as Gary.

Paul loves strange cultures, he already travelled to Thailand, Malaysia, Singa-  pore, Europe, the USA and Morocco. A great hobby is motorcycle for him. He whenever possible drives with his Harley Davidson alone or with friends. Since  he lives in Melbourne, he also likes to surf. He also loves music and Mickey Rourke is his favourite actor.

Paul could be seen as Gary in "The Honourable Wally Norman" in 2003. In the series "McLeod's Daughters" he had played the role of Dale Holloway. He played Steve in "Forced Entry" and he could be seen in "Adrift", all in 2005. In "Road Rage" he played an outraged driver in 2007. Paul could be seen in "Jigsaw" as  Dad in 2008.

Paul has a daughter, Matilda, meanwhile.

2010 Paul has a guest role as Wes Richards in the TV-series “Off the rails”. In an episode of the series "Rake" in 2014 Paul played a political consultant.
