Brett Climo wurde am 26. September 1964 in Sydney geboren. Er hat noch 2 ältere Schwestern. Brett war kein Unbekannter mehr, als er die Rolle des Dr. David Rat- cliffe in der Serie „Die fliegenden Ärzte“ übernahm. Er war bereits seit 12 Jahren in Serien und Filmen mit dabei.

Mit 18 Jahren war er bereits in der Rolle des Peter Healy in der Serie “Sons and daughters” zu sehen. Seine Eltern waren zwar nicht begeistert, aber für ihn begann eine lange Karriere. Nach “Sons and daughters” kam “Home and away” und dazwischen war noch “Vietnam”. In der Serie “A Country Practice” (“Das Busch- krankenhaus”) spielte er den Krankenpfleger Michael Langley. Er spielte diese Rolle 18 Monate. In der Zwischenzeit war er immer wieder in vielen anderen Rollen zu sehen, so z. B. “Five Mile Creek”, “A fortunate life”, “Archer”, “Prime Time”, “G.P.”.

Endlich wurde er für die Rolle des Dr. David Ratcliffe in der Serie “The Flying Doctors” engagiert. Er tat sich zuerst sehr schwer in dieser Rolle, bevor er bei  allen akzeptiert wurde. Aber sein Abschied war grauenhaft. Bei einer Rettungs- aktion stürzt er ab und stirbt. Brett Climo`s Ausscheiden war ein großer Verlust für die Serie. Diese Rolle hatte er 18 Monate gespielt. Nun wollte er sich anderen Rollen zuwenden.

So war er auch bei uns als Colin McGregor in der Serie “Snowy River” zu sehen. Daneben arbeitete er auch viel in der Werbebranche und war in einigen Talkshows dabei. Er übernahm ebenfalls die Rolle des Robbie Doyle in der Serie “Blue Heelers”. In der Rolle war er 6 Monate zu sehen. Auch Filme drehte er, u. a. “Body Melt”, einen Thriller, in dem es um kriminelle Machenschaften mit Heilmitteln ging. Gastrollen hatte Brett u. a. in “Water Rats”, “Pacific Drive” und zusammen mit Rebecca Gibney in “Halifax f.p.”. Fernsehfilme in denen er mitspielte waren “The Inner Sanctuary”, in “Blackwater Trail” als Father Michael (auch im deutschen Fernsehen zu sehen) und 1999 in “Close Contact”. Im Jahr 2001 hatte er eine Gast- rolle in “Stingers” und war in der Werbebranche für “Honda”, “Allianz” und “Opel” tätig.

Brett liebt Serien und Filme im Fernsehen, wo er für sich mehr Abwechslung und mehr Möglichkeiten als beim Theater sieht. Trotzdem war er im Melbourne Playbox Theatre in “Crazy Brave” zu sehen. Daneben spielte er die Rolle des Ray Sandler in der TV-Serie “Eugenie Sandler P.I.”. Im Oktober 1998 heiratete Brett nach 11jähriger Beziehung Michelle Louis. Die beiden wohnen in Sydney. Er engagiert sich ebenfalls, wie viele seiner Kollegen, für das Projekt “World Vision”.

2002 spielte er in dem US-Film “Double Vision” (lief auch unter dem Titel “Sunang tong”) als Serien-Killer mit und er hatte auch wieder eine Rolle  in “Something in the air”. Die Rolle des Dr. Vivian Cage hatte er 2005 in “Little Oberon” gespielt und zusammen mit Rebecca Gibney war er in “Lost and Found”, in der Rolle des McKenzie Morgan zu sehen. Im TV-Film “Penicillin: The magic bullet” sah man  ihn 2006 als Norman Heatley. Auch Brett hatte in der Serie “City Homicide” eine Gastrolle, er trat als Victor Carling auf. Eine der Hauptrollen, den Omar, belegte er in der “Elephant Princess”-Serie. 2010 spielte Brett die Rolle des Paul Sheridan in “Underbelly”, sowie Dave in der Folge “Ghost House” des TV-Krimis “Cops LAC”

2011 spielte Brett die Rolle des David Ross in “Killing Time”. 2012 war Brett wieder sehr beschäftigt. Er spielte in den Serien “A place to call home”,   “Australia on trial”, sowie in dem TV-Film “The mystery of a Hansom Cab”.

Seit 2013 spielt Brett die Rolle des George Bligh in “A place to call home”.

He was finally engaged for the role of Dr. David Ratcliffe in the series "Flying Doctors". It had difficulties very much in this role first before he was accepted at everyone. But his farewell was terrible. At a rescue operation he falls and dies. Brett Climo´s leaving was a great loss for the series. He had played this role for 18 months.

He wanted to turn to other roles now. So he could be seen also with us as Colin McGregor in the series "Snowy River: The McGregor Saga". Besides that he worked also much in the advertising and was in some talk shows. He also took     on the role of Robbie Doyle in the series "Blue Heelers". In this role he could be seen for 6 months. He shot also films like "Body Melt", a thriller about criminal machinations and dealings with remedies. Brett had guest roles into "Water Rats", "Pacific Drive", and together with Rebecca Gibney in "Halifax f.p.", television films into he joined in are " The Inner Sanctuary ", in "Blackwater Trail" as Father Michael (also to see in German television) and 1999 in "Close Contact". In the  year 2001 he had a guest role in "Stingers" and was in the advertising for "Honda", "Allianz" and "Opel" active. Brett loves series and films on television where he sees more change and more possibilities than for the theatre for himself. He was nevertheless to see in the Melbourne Playbox Theatre into "Crazy Brave". Besides that he played the role of Ray Sandler in the TV series "Eugenie Sandler P.I.".   Brett got married after a 11-year relation of Michelle Louis in October 1998. The two live in Sydney. He also engages himself to the project "World Vision" like many of its colleagues.

In 2002 he played in the U.S. film "Double Vision" (ran also under the title   "Sunang tong") as a series killer and he had a role in "Something in the air" again, too. He had the role of Dr. Vivian Cage played in "Little Oberon" in 2005 and together with Rebecca Gibney he was in "Lost and Found" to see in the role    of McKenzie Morgan. In the TV film "Penicillin: The magic bullet" he  played as Norman Heatley in 2006. Brett had also a guest role in the series "City Homicide", he was seen as Victor Carling. He covered one of the leading roles, Omar, in the "Elephant Princess". series. Brett played the part of Paul Sheridan in "Underbelly Files: Tell them Lucifer was here" in 2010 and he was also seen as Dave in the “Cops LAC”-episode “Ghost House”. 

2011 Brett played the role of David Ross in "Killing Time". 2012 Brett was again very  busy. He starred in the series "A place to call home", "Australia on trial" and in the TV movie "The Mystery of  a Hansom Cab".

Since 2013 Brett plays the role of George Bligh in "A place to call home".
