Fanclubtreffen 2015

 

Ich wachte auf und sah auf meinen Wecker. Es war 7.30 Uhr und ich dachte, was muss ich heute wieder alles machen. Lernen? Arbeiten? Oh nein! Heute war der Tag (29.08.2015) aller Tage im Jahr, an dem es nur AUSTRALIEN und die FLIEGENDEN ÄRZTE gab. Wie leicht es doch plötzlich war aufzustehen…

 

In unserem Raum im Hotel Mercure angekommen, stellte ich zu meiner

Freude fest, dass auf jedem Platz ein Becher mit RFDS Emblem und ein Muffin (mit Schriftzug 20 Jahre) zu finden waren.
Gegen 15.15 Uhr eröffnete Renate das Treffen und es wurden erst mal ein paar „Formalitäten“ erledigt ;-). So stießen wir auf Britta an, die seit der Geburtsstunde unseres Clubs, also 20 Jahre, dabei ist. Ebenfalls ein Präsent bekam Alex für ihre langjährige Homepage-Tätigkeit. Ach ja und Daniela erhielt endlich einen Hammer, so dass die Versteigerung nun auch stilecht durchgeführt werden kann.

 

Danach schauten wir ein Stück der ersten Folge der Fliegenden Ärzte „Ein schwerer Start“. Dazu sage ich nur: „Ja ja der Tom…“
Dann tranken wir mal wieder ein Schlückchen Sekt (die Ärzte sagen ja immer, man soll viel trinken ;-)) und Renate erklärte noch einmal, dass unsere Spenden von jetzt an nicht mehr nach Broken Hill, sondern nach Cairns in Queensland gehen. Eine nach Cairns ausgewanderte Deutsche wird dort das Geld übergeben.

 

 

 

Anschließend machten wir noch ein gemeinsames Gruppenfoto, das dann auf die Titelseite unseres nächsten Fanheftes kommt.

Bei der diesjährigen Tombola kostete ein Los zwar 2 €, dafür waren aber unter den 150 Losen keine Nieten dabei. Wieder einmal hatte Martina alles liebevoll eingepackt und aufgebaut und sicherlich war, wie bei mir, der eine oder andere „richtige“ Preis dabei.

 

Daraufhin tauchten wir in die Geschichte unseres RFDS Fanclubs ein. Die Fotos von 20 Jahren Fantreffen enthüllten auch die angesagtesten Mode- und Frisurentrends.

 

T ja und schließlich folgte Utes Fan Quiz. Zum 20- jährigen Bestehen hatte sie sich ein „bewegliches“ Gruppenduell ausgedacht. Es gab die Gruppe „Broken Hill“ und die Gruppe „Cairns“. Aus beiden Gruppen musste jeweils einer nach vorne kommen, um eine Frage zu beantworten. Allerdings durfte man die Frage nur beantworten, wenn man zuvor den Gegenstand vom Tisch ergattern konnte.

 

Die Fragen drehten sich rund um Australien und die Serie „Die fliegenden Ärzte“: Welche Stadt ist hier zu sehen? Welches Gebäude ist das? Welche Straße sieht man hier? Welcher Schauspieler ist das? Zwischendurch wurde es richtig spannend, denn beide Gruppen hatten 12 Punkte. Mit der Masterfrage am Ende konnte man noch mal alle Punkte setzen. Hier kamen die Risikofreudigen zum Einsatz . 

Die Masterfrage lautete: Wie viele Mitglieder hat der Fanclub zurzeit? Die Gruppe Cairns, die Renate mit im Boot hatte, war natürlich leicht im Vorteil. Na? Und wie viel

Mitglieder sind es momentan? Wisst ihr es noch? ------------- Richtig. 60 Mitglieder! Die Cairns Gruppe hat dann tatsächlich auch gewonnen, aber nur ganz knapp vor der Gruppe Broken Hill. Zum Schluss bekam jeder eine Urkunde und einen Aufkleber mit dem RFDS Symbol.

 

Nach diesen vielen Denkanstrengungen konnte man sich danach stimmlich bei der Versteigerung auslassen. Diesmal gab es eine Fülle an Versteigerungssachen: eine Mütze, ein Bumerang, verschiedene Aquarellbilder der australischen Landschaft, die Daniela selbst gemalt hat, Bücher, zwei Regenmacher, eine Nomaduhr, eine australische Zeitschrift, eine Pressemappe zur Serie und den Schauspielern, Puzzles, Kalender, weitere Bilder (u.a. aus den Niederlanden), ein Verkehrsschild, eine DVD über die RFDS - Geschichte, eine CD von Maurie Fields von 1998, Bilder von Schauspielern und Originalunterschriften von 1998, zwei Mousepads, das Originaldrehbuch von Lenore Smith zur Folge „Eine rätselhafte Krankheit“, zwei T-Shirts, das allererste Fanheft, ein Australienheft, Taschen, eine Uhrenkette, ein Rätselbuch, eine Reisetasche und ein Schlüsselanhänger mit Lampe.

 

Am heißesten begehrt waren in diesem Jahr Danielas Aquarellbilder, von dem auch ich eins ersteigern konnte. Allerdings ist dieses eine Bild sehr einsam an der Wand und wartet auf ein zweites. Daniela, du weißt also, was du bis zum nächsten Meeting zu tun hast…;-).

 

Um 19.00 Uhr ging es zum Abendessen. Dort erwartete uns ein Buffet. Ich persönlich fand das Essen o.k., aber auch nicht vom Hocker reißend. Der Service ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig. Na ja und die Bezahlung lief nicht gaaaanz so optimal. Wenn man das Ganze positiv ausdrücken möchte, kann man auch sagen, dass der Kellner sich viel Zeit für uns Gäste nahm ;-).

 

Danach öffnete der Australienshop seine Pforten. Dort kaufte ich eine Halskette in Form der Aboriginal - Malerei. Ich vermute, dass kaum jemand ohne Deko oder ein australisches Accessoire den Laden verlassen hat . Außerdem gab es noch eine Bücherecke, in der ausgiebig gestöbert werden konnte.

 

Gegen 22.00 Uhr guckten wir dann noch die Fortsetzung der ersten Folge „Ein schwerer Start“.

 

Ein gemütliches Beisammensein ab 22.45 Uhr beendete unser diesjähriges Jubiläumstreffen.

 

W ie mir Renate mittlerweile mitteilte, konnten wir bei unserem Meeting insgesamt 1500,00 AUD (also ca. 900 €) für die RFDS Base in Cairns sammeln.
Des Weiteren schließt das Hotel Mercure Ende 2015, so dass Renate nach 15 Jahren eine neue Bleibe suchen muss.
Allerdings bin ich da guter Hoffnung, denn Britta sagte mir am Ende des Treffens, dass die australische Flagge an der Wand in diesem Jahr endlich mal hängen blieb und nicht wie sonst, ständig runterfiel. Also wenn das kein gutes Omen für die nächsten 20 Jahre RFDS Club ist.
In diesem Sinne freue ich mich jetzt schon auf den 27.08.2016!

Fan Meeting 29.08.2015

I woke up and looked at my alarm clock. It was 7.30 clock and I thought, what do I have to do everything again today. Learn? To work? Oh no! Today is the day (08.29.2015) of all days was a year in which there was only Australia and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. How easy it was to get up but suddenly ...

 

O nce in our room in the Hotel Mercure, I discovered to my delight that at every place a mug with RFDS emblem and a muffin were (with lettering 20 years) to find.

 

Against 15.15 clock Renate opened the meeting and there were only a few times "formalities" completed ;-). So we drank to <Britta, who, since the birth of our club, so 20 years here.

 

 

 

Also got a gift Alex> for their longstanding website activity. Oh and Daniela finally got a hammer, so that the auction can also be carried out in proper style now.

 

Then we look at a piece of the first series of the Flying Doctors "A heavy start". For this I can only say: "Yes, yes of Tom ..."

 

 

Then we drink again a sip of champagne (the doctors always say yes, you should drink plenty of fluids :-)) and Renate again stated that our donations will go from now on no longer to Broken Hill, but to Cairns in Queensland. An emigrated German to Cairns is there and handed over the money.

A t this year's raffle a lot although cost € 2, but no rivets were present among

the 150 lots. Once again, Martina> had everything wrapped lovingly constructed

and certainly was, like me, one or the other "real" price it.

 

T hen we plunged into the history of our RFDS Fanclub. Pictures of 20 years Fan-Meeting revealed the trendiest fashion and hairstyle trends.
 Well, and finally followed <Utes Fan Quiz. For 20 years of existence she

had a "mobile" group duel devised. There was the group "Broken Hill" and the

group "Cairns". For both groups had a come forward to answer a question.

However, could you just answer the question, if you could get hold of the object from the table above.

 

The questions revolved around Australia and the series "The Flying Doctors":

Which city is seen here? Which building is this? Which road you see here?

What actor is this? In between, it was really exciting, because both groups had 12 points.

With the master question at the end you could put all the points again.

Here the risk takers were employed. The master question was:

How many members does the fan club at the moment? The group Cairns> that had Renate with in the boat, of course, a slight advantage. And how much members are currently? You know it yet? ------ Correct. 60 members!

The Cairns Group has then actually won, but just barely ahead of the group Broken <Hill. Finally, everyone got a certificate and a sticker with the RFDS icon.

 

After these thanks efforts could vocally omit at the auction to be followed.

This time there was an abundance of auction items: a hat, a boomerang, different watercolor paintings of the Australian landscape that Daniela has even painted, books,

two rainmakers, a Nomaduhr, an Australian magazine, a press kit about the series and the actors, puzzles, calendars, additional pictures (e.g. the Netherlands), a road sign, a DVD about the RFDS - history, a CD by Maurie Fields from 1998, pictures

of actors and original signatures of 1998, two mousepads the original screenplay by Lenore Smith consequence "a mysterious illness "two T-shirts, the very first Fanheft, an Australia booklet, pockets, a watch chain, a puzzle book, a travel bag and a

key ring with lamp.

 

Hottest popular this year were Daniela's watercolor paintings, of which

I too was able to bid on one. However, this image is very lonely on the wall, waiting for a second. Daniela, so you know what you have to do by the next meeting ... :-).

 

At 19.00 clock we went to dinner. There we expected a buffet. I personally

thought the food was ok, but not from the stool tearing. The service left something

to be desired. Well, and the payment was not sooooo optimally.

If you would like to express the whole positive, one can say that the waiter took a lot of time for us guests also :-).

 

T hen the Australia Store opened his doors. There I buy a necklace in the form of Aboriginal - painting. I suspect that not many people have left the store

without decoration or an Australian accessory. There was also a book corner, could be browsed extensively in the.

 

At 22:00 clock we watched then the continuation of the first episode "A heavy start".
 A cozy gathering from 22.45 clock ended our anniversary meeting.

 

As Renate me meanwhile told, we were able to collect for the RFDS base in Cairns during our meeting a total of 1500.00 AUD (about 900 € so).

 

Furthermore, the hotel Mercure closes the end of 2015, so after 15 years Renate must look for a new place to live.

 

However, I'm hopeful because Britta told me at the end of the meeting that the Australian flag remained on the wall this year finally hang times and not as usual, constantly fell down.

So if that is not a good omen for the next 20 years RFDS Club.

 

In this sense, I am already looking forward to the 08/27/2016!
